| Description | We have spent over a month studying arthropods and river ecology. This has involved studying macroinvertibrate bioindicators, watching a number of Monarch butterflies grow from egg to adult, and doing two field trips to local rivers and creeks to catch macroinvertabrites in their natural habitat. We intend to use Bugscope to examine more closely the underlying structure of these specimens, and to show the students the power of such a microscope. We also think the experience could be extremely fun and novel! |
