Project Title Insect Discovery
Insects To Study < LEFT BLANK >
Project Description I would like to use the Bugscope as a part of our communtiy Math, Science and Technology night. This is a collaborative effort between parents, community, Elementary, Middle and Highschool teachers to showcase topics that will ignite a desire to learn more, or expand upon already known information. Since insects are studied at most levels of learning, I think that this would be a great activity to promote the use of technology to expand student understanding. Since the STEM night activities take place in the evening from 4:00-6:00pm, this would offset the challenges that arise from our location in Europe. I personally teach a unit on insects, showcasing thier attributes and characteristics. This would be a great extension of that unit.

Miscellaneous

Where did you hear about Bugscope? I was searching for a magnirfied picture of a housefly, and found one of the Bugscope pictures. It was amazing.
