The Project

Project Title Life Science & Microscopes
Insects To Study Earthworm, Wolf Spider, Millipede, Pill Bug
Project Description We would like to use Bugscope as a culimating activity to our Life unit. During this unit, we study the characteristics of organisms from the six kingdoms. We spend time working with earthworms, spiders, millipedes & pill bugs. We compare and contrast their characteristics and discuss the evolutionary significance of each trait. We also learn about and use light microscopes to view Protists, Bacteria and cells. It would be great to have the students view images and gather information from Bugscope so that they can build on the knowledge they have gained in class and recognize the advanced technologies that are available to scientists.
