- Bugscope Team presets are done, we are ready!
- 1:55pm

- Bugscope Team hi kate, welcome to bugscope!
- Bugscope Team we are ready anytime
- Bugscope Team these are all bugs that you sent to us
- 2:01pm
- Bugscope Team hi students, welcome to bugscope
- Student ggggggggaaaaannnngggggggssssstttttteeeeerrrrrrrr
- Student ggggggangster
- Student GGGGANNGGSTAAAAAAA!!!!
- Student hi
- Student hi
- Bugscope Team hi
- Bugscope Team Hi all!
- Bugscope Team welcome to bugscope
- Student Hey
- Student do you know how bugs move their wings?
Bugscope Team Yep. They have very powerful muscles inside the thorax.
Bugscope Team well, you can see them move, but if they move too fast, there's also high speed video
- Student do they have lungs like us?
- Bugscope Team Right now we are actually looking at some wings.
- Student kool!!
- Bugscope Team The hooks you see on there are called "hamuli," and they hitch together the forewing and the hindwing so they beat as a single unit.
- Bugscope Team this is the edge of a wing, with the hamuli hooks
- Student thats awsome
- Student Hi
- Bugscope Team miss renwick, if you zoom out you can see more of the wing
- Student WAZZZZ UP
- Student do insects have hearts and vital organs??
Bugscope Team They do! Most of them are very different from ours, though. For instance, the heart is just a single long tube that runs along the top of the body.
- Student hi
- Student hey
- Student Are all lady bugs ladies???????
Bugscope Team Nope, you have guy and girl ladybugs.
- Student is it true that bees die after they sting
- Student thats wierd
- Bugscope Team insects don't have bones like we do though, instead they have an exoskeleton, and that's what holds them together

- Student do they have lungs like us?
Bugscope Team Ooh - good question. No, they breath very differently. They have a series of tubes called "tracheae" - kind of like our blood vessels - but they carry air instead of blood.

- 2:06pm
- Student no
- Student is there anything bad about a dung beetle
Bugscope Team Dung beetles are actually very useful, they help break down dung! Otherwise things like cow pies would just sit in fields forever.
- Student o that is so cool!!!!!
- Student ya man
- Student THen why do they call them Lady Bugs?
Bugscope Team Maybe because they are showy and pretty? Who knows. Common names can be weird.
- Student hi
- Student Do beetles bite?
- Student Is the prey mantis the only insect with saw like claws? Why or Why not?
Bugscope Team There are several predatory insects that have saws or ridges on their claws - it helps them hold prey. But mantids are probably the most well known.
- Student do they

- Student why did you want to study bugs???
- Student kyle is sooooo not hot
- Bugscope Team insects also don't breath through their mouths, they have holes on the sides of their bodies, called spiracles, and they use the spiracles to breath
- Student How can u tell is a spider is a boy or girl?

- Student which insect has ther most legs
- Student not not not
- Student yeah he is
- Student can bug go istinct?
Bugscope Team oh yes, and they still do
- Student jk
- Student nop
- Student Is it true that a daddy long legs is very venom is posionous
Bugscope Team You know, I hear that a lot. But no, daddy longlegs are completely harmless - they like to eat decaying things. However, there are some spiders that look like daddy longlegs that ARE poisonous.
- Student why does it look so weird????????
Bugscope Team these are live images from an electron microscope, very high magnification, so that might explain the weirdness
- Student whos thunder
- Student eeeeeeeewwwww
- Student woqw
- Student no one
- Student omg thats so cool
- Student wil cockroaches outlive humans????
- Student what is your favorite bug?
Bugscope Team i like mites, they are bugs on bugs
- Student how long to wasp's normally live
- Student How can you tell the sex of bugs
Bugscope Team A lot of the time you can look for an ovipositor - this looks kind of like a stinger that comes out of the back of a female insect.
- Student what is the most smallest bug
- Student What is the biggest bug in the world
- Student good ? shasha
- Student why do they call them cockroaches?
- Student What are the names of the several saw like or ridge like claws?
- Student How can u tell if a spider is a boy or girl?
Bugscope Team it varies from insect to insect, some don't even have different sexes, but we are not sure about spider sex. sorry
- Student cool
- Student What is the average size of a dung beetle
Bugscope Team Hard to answer. There are huge dung beetles the size of tennis balls, and tiny ones the size of tic-tacs.
- Student How come male bees don't sting????
- Student what is the biggest bug in the world
- Student How large can a spider be?
- Student "how many babies can an any have?"
- Student why do they call them cockroaches
- Student can insects eat eachother?
Bugscope Team oh yeah, praying mantis for example, the female will eat the head of the male
- Student is there a way to get leaches of skin?
- Student Why dont male mosquitos bite?
Bugscope Team It's because female mosquitoes need blood to grow their eggs. Males don't make eggs, so they don't need blood! They usually drink nectar from flowers.

- Student ??
- Student how come male bees don't sting
- Student ???
- Student why do they have claws for mouths?
Bugscope Team well, those are like jaws, they help to scoop food into the mouth
- Student What does lice do to your bod?
- 2:11pm
- Student how is lice harmful
Bugscope Team Head lice are just itchy, but there are some lice that can transmit a disease called typhus. These are "body lice," but we don't find them in the US very often.
- Student *What does lice do your body
- Student Can Fire Ants Kill Humans
Bugscope Team yep, enough of them could

- Student how many insects a day can die
- Student what is the most dangerous spider in the world??

- Student what is the biggest bug in teh world
Bugscope Team The goliath beetle is the heaviest insect, the atlas moth has the largest wingspan, and a stick insect in Polynesia - I can't remember the name - is the longest - over a foot long!

- Bugscope Team this is a hook on a bee limb
- Student what is ur fav insects
- Student is it true like in the movies that a couple cockroaches can eat a person?
Bugscope Team Haha. Well, maybe if the person was dead and there were a lot of cockroaches. Usually they don't go for live things.
- Student what is the most dangerous spider in the world???
- Bugscope Team bee's have hooks on the middle segment of their limbs, which looks odd, but it's true
- Student Are some ladybugs poisons?
- Student how come male bee's don't sting
- Student ????
- Student Are any type of bees poisonous
Bugscope Team some people are allergic to bees, and so in that sense they are very dangerous
- Student What is the name of the several claw like bugs?
- Teacher What is the purpose of the hook on the bee?
Bugscope Team well, we are not sure, maybe the hook developed long ago, before the lower parts of the limb developed, so now the hook is just kinda there. zoom out to get a better idea of where the hook is
- Student what is the smallest bug in the world
Bugscope Team The smallest insects I know of are called fairy flies, which grow inside the eggs of other insects. They are so small you usually measure them in MICROmeters.
- Student Is it true if a Bubble be sting you they will die?
Bugscope Team yes, that is true because their stinger will get stuck in your skin, and when they pull out the stinger, their insides are ripped out as well
- Student what id the most dangerous spider in the world
Bugscope Team Hard to say - I know the hobo spider and the banana spider are supposed to be very, very dangerous. Here in the US you need to watch out for black widows and brown recluses, but that's about it.
- Student ??
- Student are there more male or female bugs in the world?
Bugscope Team interesting question! not sure though, that would be really hard to quntify
- Student how big is the biggest bee
- Student what is the most poisonous bug on earth?
Bugscope Team Hmm. In our part of the world, I've heard that the most painful sting is from a Bullet Ant - it's called that because the sting is supposed to feel like you've been shot. They live in Central and South America.
- Student what is the smallest bug in the world?

- Student what is the most dangerous spider in the world
- Student How come male bugs don't sting
Bugscope Team It has to do with the ovipositor, which is a structure that female bugs use to lay eggs. In bees, it has evolved into a stinger - but since only female insects had an ovipositor, then only female insects can sting!
- Student how can you tell if a bug is a girl or a boy?
- Student r ladybugs posinous
Bugscope Team No, but sometimes they might nip you, which feels like a little pinch.
- Bugscope Team this is bee stinger, and you can see the ridges on the sides of the stinger

- Bugscope Team if this bee stung you it would die after, because the stinger would get stuck
- Student do u find it interesting looking at bugs?
- Student y do bugs look wierd???
- Bugscope Team ah, miss renwick, move right from here, then you can see the stinger

- Student what do fleas bite you???
- Bugscope Team good job!
- Student What is the first bug in the world
- Student how can you tell a girl from a boy insect?
- 2:16pm
- Bugscope Team now this stinger doesn't have those ridges on the side, so this is a stinger from a wasp, which can sting multiple times
- Student y do bugs look wierd??
Bugscope Team I'm sure the bugs wonder the same thing about humans. :)
- Student Wasp Stingers look like hunting knives
Bugscope Team totally, they are sharp and don't have hooks, they can sting multiple times
- Student what is the most posinous bug in the bug kingdom
Bugscope Team hmm, probably some kind of spider, but we are not sure
- Student very
- Student why do they call them cockroaches
Bugscope Team i don't know, sorry
- Student Why do fleas like animals????
- Student nice ? miss renwick lol

- Student how old??
- Student wow
- Student thats young
- Bugscope Team this is the head of the wasp
- Student What is the differents between a wasp and a hornet
- Student How long do hornets live
- Student how old is rob??
Bugscope Team Rob is 25. :)
- Bugscope Team the antenna is sticking out of the top of the head as well

- Student very young lol
- Student why do insects have hairs???
- Student Why did u want to study bugs???
Bugscope Team 'Cause they're awesome!
- Bugscope Team notice all the bumps on the compound eye. those bumps are called ommatidia, each one has a lens in it
- Student why do bugs eyes like a million eyes?
- Student how many little eyes do flies have>
- Student cool
- Bugscope Team compound eyes are often found on flying insects, they have GREAT vision
- Student What is the first bug in the world
- Bugscope Team the compound eye is made up of hundreds of individual facets, called ommatidia
- Student how many little eyes does a fly have?
- Student cool
- Student Why do you think people don't like bugs?
- Student What do horse flies do ???
- Bugscope Team the compound eye is often curved, so that each lens in the ommatidium can see in a different direction

- Student why do bugs have like a million eyes in one eye(if you no what im saying)
Bugscope Team It's because of all the tiny lenses that make up the eye. Even so, to have vision as good as a human they would need to have compound eyes almost a meter across.
- Student do you guys make youtube vidoes
- Student why does it look like it has eyes inside of eyes
Bugscope Team totally! those are the individual ommatidium, each one has a lens in it
- Bugscope Team this is a claw on a moth
- Student why does it look feathery
- Student are any bugs blind?
Bugscope Team well, yes, some insects don't have eyes, like some ants don't. but then they'll have great ability to smell things, and they use their smell to find their way around
- Student what is the smallest bug in the world?
- Student What can a tick do to u?
- Student why do bugs have layers
- Student Are any Moths poisonous
Bugscope Team No, moths in the Americas are completely harmless, although they can give you allergies.
- Student what bug do you fear the most of all the bugs
- Student Why do spiders eat their babies???
Bugscope Team food
- Student how many eyres do bugs have????
Bugscope Team well, this moth has two. some spiders have many more
- Student awesome

- 2:21pm
- Student What is the first bug in the world
- Student how many eyes do bugs have??
Bugscope Team Most bugs will have two big compound eyes, but some will have 3 or more "extra" eyes called occelli, which are on the top of the head. You might be able to see them if we have an insect head as one of our samples.
- Bugscope Team But there are some moths in Asia that suck blood! Pretty weird.
- Student what is the largest bug in south america
- Student no like flies how many they have???
Bugscope Team fly's usually have just two compound eyes
- Student What can a tick do to u?
Bugscope Team it can feed off you
- Bugscope Team the largest proboscis in the world is the elephant trunk
- Student Rob- what are all the bugs that can kill you
Bugscope Team Heh. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any that will actually kill you, except the ones that give you disease (like mosquitoes, ticks, etc.)
- Student do butterflies have alot of little eyes like flies>?
- Student how many in the inside though
- Student why do fleas like animals?
- Student Why did Scientists do Radiation tests on cockroaches in the 1970's]
Bugscope Team you tell us?
- Bugscope Team someone asked about hairs on bugs. YES, insects have lots of hairs, but they aren't hairs really. they are called setae (see-tee)
- Student once you accidently step on an ant where does the other ants take the injured 1
Bugscope Team Ants actually keep a little pile of dead bodies near the nest, to keep them from contaminating the colony. Injured ants don't get any medical care and probably end up there after they die.
- Student ur the scientist
- Student what was the first bug to be in water
- Teacher how does the size of the moth's proboscis compare to the elephants relative to their body size?
Bugscope Team hmm, great question, i'm not sure though, sorry. my guess would be that the elephant truck is much larger, proportionately i mean
Bugscope Team Like a lot of questions, the real answer is "it depends." Some moths have pretty short probosces, other ones have enormously long ones - much longer than the body. In this case, it would indeed be longer than the elephant, relative to body size.
- Student I thought when it was in side of u it could blow up and you'd have to get surgery to get it out, so is that true?
- Student Why do spiders have 2 body sections
- Student What is the smallest bug in the world
- Student what was the first bug to be in the water
- Student What is the smartest bug in the world
- Student Hey bubles is' fairy fly
- Student Rob- why are bugs so mean to us
Bugscope Team they aren't, they are just trying to survive. we are the most mean species on the planet, although that is a matter of opinion :)

- Student why do moths look like they have feathers?
Bugscope Team those feathers are scales
- Student why does the spider look scaley
- Student I thought when it was in side of u it could blow up and u'd have to get surgery to get it out, is that true
- Student how long do u have to study to be a scientist
Bugscope Team well, anywhere from 4-10 years, or more even
- Student what kind or spider is displaying on the screen right now
Bugscope Team this is the spider that you sent to us!
- Student is a tapeworm a bug???
Bugscope Team Nope, it's a flatworm.
- Bugscope Team moths have lots of scales on them, they can help the moth escape from a spider web, for example
- Student did swine flew come form bugs
- Student how much lice can possibly be on the human head
- Student Can tapeworms live inside insects
- 2:26pm
- Student ROb- why do bugs have to survive on us
Bugscope Team Most bugs don't survive on humans, actually. But being a parasite is a pretty nice life, right? You just sit there and get food all the time, never have to do anything. Very "adaptive," as we say in the biz.
- Student When mosquito's bite you, why do they get big and itchy??
- Student oh
- Student why do spiders have hairs on them?
Bugscope Team ALL insects have hairs on them. those hairs are called setae (see-tee), it is how bugs feel things
- Student oh
- Student ic
- Student ohh!!
- Student Is it true that lice only live on clean hair?
Bugscope Team No, they'll live anywhere that they can get food. Dirty and clean hair is all the same to them.
- Student wats a flat worm??
- Student could u puke out a tapeworm
Bugscope Team Hmm. Probably not. The tapeworm head is covered in hooks that attach to your intestine, so it is very well attached.
- Student Do lice like clean or dirty hair? Why?

- Student how do tapeworms get inside of you
- Student what kind of bug makes you want to puke
Bugscope Team Eating undercooked meat that has their eggs.
- Student ugly 1s
- Student thats is gross.... and cool

- Student how long would it take the venom of a blackwidow spider to kill you
- Bugscope Team yep, gross, but cool, right on!

- Student did the swine flew come from bugs
Bugscope Team i'm not sure.

- Student Rob- why do bugs have to survive on us
- Student wats swine flu??
- Student r mageats inside of u?

- Student how long can a tapeworm grow
- Student if a bee's stinger gets stuck in skin will it continue to sting
Bugscope Team It sure will. If you get stung, you can actually see the poison gland still pumping as it's stuck in your skin.
- Student swine flu is a disease
- Student who discovered the first bug and what year?
Bugscope Team bugs were around much early than humans were.
- Student along time ago

- Student I thought when a tick was in side of u it could blow up and u'd have to get surgery to get it out, is that right?
Bugscope Team I don't know about that. Ticks don't really get inside of you, they just put their heads in.
- Student what is that
Bugscope Team this is the head of a leafhopper

- Student Rob- have you ever got bitten by a bug you got so sick

- Student why is the eye so small
- Student Why are prey mantis's so quick
Bugscope Team They have to be quick to catch their prey!

- Student oh ididnt know that mouse

- Student what year did the first bug step on land
Bugscope Team I can't give you an exact year... but the earliest insect we know of is from the Devonian, which was the same time that fish evolved - about 400 million years ago.
- Student How long can a tapeworm grow?
- Student wats that!!
- Student Why are the lady bugs so pretty, but so ruthless?
- Student how can a praying mantis move so quick without falling over?
- Student O
- Bugscope Team this is a leadhopper
- Student Rob- How old were u since you started working
Bugscope Team Well, I'm in my fifth year of graduate school. I'm a PhD student.
- Student r mageats inside of us right now?
- Student how do you get ticks of your body
- 2:31pm
- Student have you ever had a tick on you?
Bugscope Team i think most people have, yes
- Teacher can we turn the controls of the microscope over to a student?
Bugscope Team totally
- Student me
- Student me
- Student me\
- Bugscope Team just tell us who you want to control.
- Student Oh! Can't you take a lighter and
- Student dang
- Student it off
- Student ryley
- Student me
- Student pick me
- Student Where can you get ticks\
- Teacher can you give the control to riboflavin?
- Student ryley gets the control
- Student thats cool
- Bugscope Team ribo, you have control!
- Student Why doesn't everyone respect bugs?
Bugscope Team I know, right? Probably because they feel funny, they bite, and they get all over our food.

- Student ur lucky riboflavin
- Bugscope Team just remember, when using "click to drive", click to start moving, then click again to stop
- Student how can a praying mantis move so fast without falling over?
- Student how big can a dragon fly get
Bugscope Team I saw one just last week that was about 5 inches from wingtip to wingtip. Ancient dragonflies could grow as wide as a foot.
- Student r mageats inside of us
Bugscope Team i don't think so
- Bugscope Team this is a $600,000 electron microscope you are controlling ribo
- Student what's the difference between a flatworm and an insect
Bugscope Team They're very different, but the most obvious differences would probably be that flatworms have no legs. :)
- Student what would happen if a tick ate some of your insides?
- Student how did fire ants get their name and what does it feel like when they bite you
Bugscope Team What I heard was that their name comes from how they run out of their nest when you damage it - either because it's like there is a fire, or they move as quick as a fire. The sting is not too bad on me - a little itchy - but some people can be very allergic.
- Student Why do fleas like animals????
Bugscope Team it's food to them

- Student do all bugs have a sense of smell?\
- Student Rob- ask us questions to see if we can get them right

- Student no presser riboflavin\
- Student why does this microscope cost so much???
Bugscope Team because it uses electrons to get the image, not light
- Student Why do they call it the Hercules Beatle?
- Bugscope Team all organisms on this planet have a common goal: to survive by eating food
- Student How many types of ants are there in the world
Bugscope Team there are about 14,000 different species of ants in the world today
Bugscope Team Scientists seem to have this thing about naming large bugs after strong mythical creatures. Atlas moth, goliath beetle, hercules beetle - it's pretty common.
- Student why do ticks like animals?
Bugscope Team for food

- Student oh

- Bugscope Team food

- Student how do bugs feet stick to walls?
- Student What is your favorite bug alex? Why?
Bugscope Team i like ticks, because they are bugs that bug other bugs!

- Student ud be like spiderman if u could

- Student why do bugs buzzzzzzz?
Bugscope Team It's the sound of the wings beating! Some insects like mosquitoes actually find their mates by listening to the right buzzing sound.
- 2:37pm
- Teacher can you pass the controls to bigshooter please?
- Bugscope Team i mean mites, not ticks!
- Student W
- Student what kind of bugs glide on the top of water?
- Bugscope Team bigshooter, you are driving, everyone put on their seat-belts!
- Student can tics live on animals
- Student Rob- do tics stay in your body
Bugscope Team Ticks will drop off once they've had enough to eat.
- Student ahhh were goin to crash
- Student What is your favorite bug Rob? Why?
Bugscope Team I really like mantisflies - they look like a praying mantis with fly wings on the back!

- Bugscope Team ah cool, this is a salt crystal, from Wendy's fast food place

- Student Wat is that
- Bugscope Team this is a salt crystal
- Student alex r u male or female
- Student lol
- Student What would happpen if a tick ate your insides?
Bugscope Team Well, a tick will never eat your insides - but even if it did, probably not much. A single tick is too small to do much damage.
Bugscope Team if anything ate your insides, you would die
- Student What is the most dangerous bug in the world
- Bugscope Team Wendy's puts some type of additive in their salt, that makes it hollow like that, a normal salt crystal doesn't quite look like this one does
- Student can beatles be posinous or dangerous

- Student rob- how many years have you been working as a bug scientist
Bugscope Team I started as an undergraduate, so about seven years now.
- Student /,k'l'';'kl'
- Student i dont like Wendy's

- Teacher can you pass the controls over to h2o
- Student Does anyone what to know who i am?
- Student what color are ticks?
Bugscope Team I've seen brown, gray, and reddish ticks. They never seem to be very colorful.
- Student alex,rob do u like wendy's????

- Student i do i know who booboo is hahaha
- Bugscope Team H2O has controls now!
- Bugscope Team these are brochosomes

- Student Can a lady bug eat dead animals? Why or Why not?
- Student dont tell people jodi
- Bugscope Team i'm going to focus for you
- Bugscope Team ah, we are too close to the sample, can't focus at this length
- Student do you enjoy taking time off and answering our questions?
Bugscope Team Absolutely! This is a lot of fun.
- Student are bees only yellow and black?
Bugscope Team No, they come in several colors. The yellow and black is common, though, because animals like birds will recognize it as a warning sign: "Danger! I sting!"
- Student Rob- ask me a Questions if you can?
- 2:42pm
- Student Why do red ants bite and not black???
- Student why are some lady bugs yellow?
- Student hi

- Student What is the color of lice?
- Student -)

- Student how long does lice stay on your head
Bugscope Team They will stay for their entire life - they can't get food without you.
- Bugscope Team ptchoq, you've got control!
- Student How long has bugs been in our world?
Bugscope Team long before humans were around

- Student how long will it take for a black widdows venom to kill u

- Student What is the color of lice
Bugscope Team Usually a grayish color.
- Bugscope Team i wonder why all these questions about lice? hmmm....
- Student Why do red ants bite and not black and ants
Bugscope Team I've seen some black ants that will bite. It depends on the species, I suppose. Maybe your black ants are just nice.

- Student thats gross

- Bugscope Team ah, here's the wasp stinger, just above
- Student What's the
- Student hi
- Teacher can you passs the contols to booboo

- Student then mouse!!
- Bugscope Team booboo, you've got control, look out!
- Student naomi is booboo
- Student What is the most dangerous bug and why?
Bugscope Team Mosquitoes, I would say. It's because of the diseases they transmit - West Nile, dengue, malaria - the list goes on and on.
- Bugscope Team if you get lot, click on a preset
- Student we know
- Student omg naomi is controling
- Student jk
- Bugscope Team k
- Student how long does it take for black widdows venom to kill u or does it
- Student how long does it take for black widdows venom to kill u or does it
Bugscope Team pretty fast
- Student noo then thunder
- Student how long does it take for black widdows venom to kill u or does it
Bugscope Team Most people won't die from a black widow bite, though. It's just really painful and gross.
- Student How big is the biggest beatle
- Student ok
- Student can u have an imune system to black widows???
Bugscope Team i think some people are immune, yes. other insects can also be immune
- 2:47pm
- Student do insects have babies on their own?
Bugscope Team Yep, most of them lay eggs, but some will give birth to live "baby" insects.
- Student how do i control this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Student does bees skin look yellow and black or is it the hairs
Bugscope Team insects don't have skin they have a darkish colored exoskeleton
- Teacher can you pass the controls to mouse?
- Student thanx
- Student if you got posion in ur body from a bug could you get it out?
Bugscope Team You might be able to treat it like a snake bite, but I've never tried.
- Student Alex, what is the name of a beatle that uses it's sticky feet to stick themselves to leaves?
Bugscope Team hmm, i'm not sure, sorry bubbles
Bugscope Team All beetles have sticky feet, as far as I know. It's how they can do things like walk on glass.
- Bugscope Team mouse, drive us around, and look out for any cats
- Student ]
- Bugscope Team mouse, try clicking on a preset
- Student do all sopiders bite?
Bugscope Team All spiders have venom - but not all spiders are capable of biting you. Sometimes their fangs are too small and your skin is too thick.
- Bugscope Team yay!
- Student Alex ask rob thatquestion maybe he knows the answer
Bugscope Team rob, do you know of a beetle that has sticky feet?

- Student are you hiper Alex?
Bugscope Team no, i'm pretty laid back
- Student wehat do spider bites look like
Bugscope Team Commonly a red spot with two little holes from the fangs.
- Student kyle is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooootttttttttttt hot
- Bugscope Team this is a col looking claw, huh?
- Student ok alex i was just wondering
Bugscope Team okie dokie
- Student is there a bug that will eat a mosquito????
Bugscope Team oh yes, totally, wouldn't it be cool if they ate them all?
Bugscope Team I've seen dragonflies take them down before. And mosquito larvae are eaten by almost everything that lives in a pond.
- Student that is cool
- Student hello
- Student Thanks Rob
- Bugscope Team No problem.
- Student what is the largest kind of bug
- Student YA!!
- Student how many different bugs are there?
Bugscope Team Millions. We keep finding hundreds of new ones every year!
- Student can a whole bunch of mosquitos drink all of an animals blood?
Bugscope Team Not usually. We call it "exsanguination" when it happens, and I heard that it did happen to some cows many years ago during a huge mosquito emergence.
- Student Why can't cockroaches die from radiation tests
Bugscope Team i think they do die from enough radiation

- 2:52pm
- Student is that true that female mosquitos only bite people
Bugscope Team Sure is.

- Student hello

- Bugscope Team Oh, whoops - Jessica, I misread your question.
- Bugscope Team we are actually looking over the edge of the scope stage here...
- Student is it true that hundreds of bugs in the Amazon haven't been named?
Bugscope Team It is, yeah. We just keep on finding'em.

- Student do u enjoy this chatline
Bugscope Team We do! We wouldn't be here otherwise, right? ;)

- Bugscope Team oops, we went too far

- Bugscope Team ah good, now we are going back

- Student thanks
- Student Thanks for talking to use but we g2g ttyl
- Student thanks we have to go but it was fun
- Bugscope Team i moved us back over the insect
- Student Thanks we gotta go
- Bugscope Team thank you, you all did awesome!
- Bugscope Team you all rock, and or roll
- Teacher We're going to have to leave but thank you so much! This was great!
- Student Thanks for answering my questions Alex and Rob
- Bugscope Team good job miss renwick
