Project Title Mealworms, Awful or Awsome?
Insects To Study Mealworm larva, pupa and adult beetle
Project Description I plan to use Bugscope to extend and enhance the NC Standard Course of Study: 1.03 and 1.04; compare and contrast the life cycle of insects. We are presently exploring the life cycle of mealworms. Each child has observed their own mealworm change from larva to pupa to adult. We would like to observe the changes and characteristics of each stage that cannot been seen through our classroom hand lenses. The overall purpose of the Bugscope experience is to develop the child's ability to observe and to also gain knowledge of tools scientists use daily.
